Well, Friday was Morgan's 6th B-day. It sure doesn't seem like she should be 6 already. She had a little b-day party with some of her friends here at the house. She informed me last night that she wants to go through her toys and things and donate some of them to a charity. She says she isn't a baby anymore so some of the things need to go. She is outgrowing Strawberry Shortcake and she is moving into the Hannah Montana stage. We had a good day yesterday with friends visiting. Our neighbors stopped by after the party and we all visited for a couple of hours. We are blessed yet again with good neighbors.
Well, last night I thought I did something to my wrist because I couldn't even move it I was in pain. Today I decided I didn't do anything to it I am having a flare up of my rheumatoid arthritis. I woke up with the wrist hurting, my feet were really bad and I had a couple of fingers that are really bad too. I knew when I had to have Jason hook my bra for me because my wrist wouldn't let me do it that I was in trouble. I had a hard time walking till like 2 this afternoon. Jason said I looked like an old lady walking up the stairs to get Morgan in her class at church today. I guess I will just have to admit I am getting old...... or at least my joints are. I need to start exercising to strengthen my muscles to give me added support for all those joints. I need to work out on an elliptical machine or something to make sure to keep my weight from going up because every extra pound on the feet and knees will just add to the pain. I have that high cholesterol too and I think I said before the exercise is all that will help me now. It is all a double edged sword though. I need to start exercising because my joints stiffen when I don't use them but it hurts to exercise so that is hard too. My mom has arthritis really bad and she does better with it when she goes to the gym so I know if I can force myself to go it will help me. Well, I have "vented" enough for now :-)
I hope you all had a great weekend. Back to the grind in the morning........

this weeks stuff........
Well, first of all as you know, we love the Patriots and all I can say is 18-0 and going to the Super Bowl :-) We can't wait till the game. We do a ton of screaming at the TV during the games.
This weekend Morgan went to Big Timber and she spent the night with some friends. Saturday after she left we went to a late lunch and then went and met some friends for desert and to visit. We went to go to a movie but when we got there it was sold out. There was another one that I would like to see but it had already started and I hate going into a movie after it has started so, we went to Blockbuster and rented a movie and went home to watch it. We popped pop corn and watched a movie. Sunday Jason let me sleep in and he and the neighbor cleaned the snow from the yard. We then watched the Patriots game and drove to Columbus and met our friends for dinner and to pick up Morgan. Columbus is halfway between us and Big Timber. Today Morgan is off so she has been helping me do some cleaning and she has watched a couple of her favorite shows and is now playing in the tub. She still loves that. She goes back to school tomorrow. She had a bad ear ache last night. I put her drops in her ear and gave her some cold medicine. When she gets a cold her ears really bother her. She has been OK (other then a stuffy nose) today. We will see how she is tonight.
Morgan turns 6 on Friday. I can't believe she is 6 already. She is growing so fast. Some days she seems like she is a teenager already. She acts so grown up sometimes. We are going to have a little party for her on Saturday.
So, I have been cleaning up a little today. I have dusted and vacuumed the living room today and vacuumed upstairs and made beds, I have some laundry going, the dishwasher going, etc. The really silly thing I did though was start my ovens self cleaning cycle. It goes for 3 and half hours so it won't be done till 615 PM. I now have to find something I can make for dinner that I don't have to use the oven for because I don't want to eat dinner at 730 tonight. Morgan goes to bed at 8 so that isn't going to work. Oh well, I will figure out something. It won't be gourmet but it will fill us up.
Well, that is all that is going on here. How are things where you are?

what has been going on here......
Well, of course this weekend was a Big football weekend. We are so excited about the Patriots. 17-0 Baby!!!!!! Bring on the Chargers...... Yesterday we went to church and then we came home and helped the neighbors for about 3 hours look for their dogs that got out. They got a long way away and the territory they covered was a really tough terrain. For a couple of Bull Dogs they can really go.
Morgan has been being pretty darn good. She is trying so hard to work on respect. It has been so nice here the last few days. I have been working on not yelling (because I do it way to much) and Morgan is working on listening and it is going great. Although, I am watching Dr Phil right now and as bad as I have felt about my parenting skills from time to time I am feeling pretty darn good right this moment :-)
Last time I posted something I was rushing to get the yearbook stuff going. I have been able to get all of the stuff that was behind caught up and now I have to take some time and start getting the actual yearbook or I will be in trouble again.
So, do any of you feel like me and wish you had the self motivation to get their act together and be able to exercise and eat right? I watched Oprah and Bob Greene talk about their best life diet challenge. I told Jason I don't have a lot of weight to loose....heck, I only need to loose about 12 pounds but, sitting on the couch eating isn't going to help that. What I need more then that is to get healthy. I have that darn high cholesterol to deal with and the doctor keeps telling me that even though my cholesterol numbers are down (with medication) my good cholesterol is still too low. The medication won't help that and the only thing that will help that is red wine and exercise. My doctor is funny she knows I absolutely hate alcohol of any kind so she tells me to get off my butt and get moving (well, she says it nicely). Yeah, I have friends that are doing good with this issue and it is starting to make me think about it a lot more. I guess thinking about it is the first step. Maybe I will get my act together someday soon.
Tomorrow I am going to help a friend of mine for a few hours. They are getting ready to do some remodeling and they need to get some walls primed and painted before the contractors come in to put in the new cabinets and things. I will be helping while Morgan is at school.
Well, all is well in Montana. I hope all is well out there with everyone.

what a crazy day.....
Well, today started off good for the first 15 minutes but then.........my little one and her lovely stubborn attitude started in. She is into telling me "I hate my life, what kind of mom are you?, etc." She is such a sweet girl but boy, she can get a real attitude. We are working hard on respect because that is what is going on. Well, a lack of respect that is. So far since she got home from school things have been going pretty darn good. It doesn't take hearing things like that from your child very many times before you start to doubt your ability as a parent.
I have a PTA meeting tonight. I am the yearbook advisor and I haven't heard anything so I got all the yearbook out and found phone numbers for the company and got all the info I need to get on the website and when I finally got in I found out that we were suppose to decide on our cover and book preferences by October 31st. I think we are late :-) I finally got a hold of the women that is the schools contact person in the company and she is helping me get started but we have to make these decisions tonight needless to say. Good thing I work better under pressure. Anyone that has ever worked with me know if I have a deadline I am much better at getting things done.
Jason has a b-day this week. Morgan wants me to get shrimp and make daddy shrimp for dinner because it is his one of his favorite meals. She wants me to make him a cake like right now but I won't make it till the day of his birthday. She makes him "presents" all the time. She really likes to do that.
Well, I am off to find something to feed everyone before I go to PTA. I hope you are all having a great day. I will keep you posted on the drama :-)

What is on my mind..........

Well, this is my first attempt at setting up a blog. I lead a pretty boring life so you may not find my ramblings very interesting.
This week has brought us yet another new year. I can't believe how fast time is going. They say the older you get the faster time goes and boy do I believe it. I am not sure how time can go faster then it is now though. Morgan is going to be 6 this month. When did that happen? She is growing into a beautiful young lady with a personality all her own. She can be the sweetest little girl in the world and the next minute she can show you her "other side". Jason and I wonder what the teen years will bring. We are working on respect with her right now.
Jason and I are going to be celebrating our 14th anniversary the end of this month. We started dating 19 years ago this week. I remember when we started dating like it was yesterday yet it was a long time ago when you figure we are just turning 35 this year. I have been so blessed with a wonderful husband and a great marriage.
I don't know about any of you but at our house we have been watching a lot of football the last few weeks. We have been watching all the playoff games this weekend. Next weekend the Patriots are back!!!!!!!!! Go Patriots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is funny how people here react to our Patriots hats. We hear lots of people say things like....sure, everyone likes the Patriots now that they are winning. We just laugh. Since we were both raised in Maine the Patriots have ALWAYS been our team and always will be. There is something about the home town teams.
Well, with this being my first post I thought I would introduce you to all 3 of our "girls". Rose and Belle are 6 months old and they have brought a lot of love to our house. By the way, Morgan is the one on the left. :-)
I told you I would be rambling in this........how many topics did I talk about? Well, I am off to watch some more football. I hope you all had a relaxing weekend with your family. Have a Great Week.
